Facilities

University of Florida Ceramics has an entirely equipped studio with a clay mixing room and two large kiln areas containing over twenty electric kilns, a 60 cu. ft electric car kiln, four gas kilns, a wood kiln, and soda kiln.  The glaze lab offers a complete range of raw materials, digital scales, spray booths, sand blaster and industrial blunger.  The Throwing Lab houses a variety of Shimpo, Pacifica and Brent wheels. The Ceramics Department is located in a quad which includes two gallery spaces, the Architecture and Fine Arts Library, and the Visual Resource Library, as well as other art area studios.

Graduate students work in individual studio spaces within group studio areas in the Ceramics Department.
