Medicine and the Arts: The Historical Roots of the Arts in Healing Traditions in Europe

The four-week four-credit course will explore the historical roles of the arts in healing traditions in Europe as well as in Northern Africa. Participants will view prehistoric cave paintings, religious healing sites, and spend several days in Morocco studying Gnawan healing music traditions with local practitioners.

This course will be repeated in the summer of 2010.
