2006-2007 Visiting Artist Lectures

John Welchman, Professor of Art History at UC-San Diego, will be speaking on “American Art since 1945” on September 8, 2006 at 3:00 PM at the Harn Museum of Art.

Mary Jo Arnoldi, Curator of African Ethnology from the National Museum of Natural History will be speaking on October 20, 2006 at Noon, at the Harn Museum of Art, on “Monuments, Memory, and Public Culture in Mali.”

Carol Armstrong, Director of the Program in the Study of Women and Gender at Princeton University, will be speaking on September 27, 2006 on “Nadar and the Photograph.” Time TBA.

John Merryman will be speaking on November 1, 2006, in the University Auditorium at 6:00 PM, on “Great Cases in Art Law.”

Dickran Tashjian, Professor Emeritus of Art History at the University of California-Irvine, will be speaking on November 2, 2006 at 6:00 PM at the Harn Museum of Art, on “Adventures in the Arts: Marsden Hartley and the First American Avant-Garde.”

Benjamin H. D. Buchloh, a Franklin D. and Florence Rosenblatt Professor of Modern Art at Harvard University, will be speaking on November 27, 2006 at the Harn Museum of Art on “Art Since 1900.” Time TBA.
