In 1997, the @rt room was selected by Yahoo! as a "daily pick" on February 12, by Cool Central as a "Cool Site of the Hour," and by Blue Web'n Learning Applications Library as a "Hot Site of the Week." In addition, the @rt room is listed in the WebCrawler Select directory, Ed's Oasis directory, the BBC Education Web Guide, the Schoolzone's list of educationally useful sites, and the SuperSites for Kids directory. The @rt room was selected as a "5 Star Site" by ABC's of Parenting, by Highlights' TeacherNet as a "site of the week" for December 7, 1998, recognized with the "Art Room Award" from Cave Spring Junior High School in Roanoke, Virginia, and chosen as "FunSite of the Month" for October 1998 by students of the Stony Point South Elementary School Computer Club. In 1998, we were also reviewed in the October issue of Teaching K-8 Magazine. We are honored to be selected as one of the top 100 Educational Web Sites of 1999 by The Education Resource. In 1999, the @rt room was reviewed by the Hersh Web Site Observer, in the March issue of FamilyPC Magazine, in the November/December issue of Library Talk, by ComputerCredible magazine, and by Education World. We have also been reviewed by Study Web, The School Page, and Webivore, Also in 1999, Electronic Kids picked the @rt room as "Site of the Day" for Friday,December 3, CoolSchool Media included us in its new Internet product titled "5001 Cool Sites for Kids," and Espresso Productions chose to include us in its "Best of the Web" section for Art as a part of its Internet service offered to schools in the UK. In September 2000, the @rt room received the Exploratorium's Ten Cool Sites Award for educational excellence in the month of September 2000. We were also included in Länkskafferiet (the Link Larder), an on-line educational database for Swedish pupils between 10 and 15 years of age. Additonally, we are pleased to have been selected for an Editor's Choice Award from the Awesome Library, a collection of the top 5% of sites in the field of K-12 education, and as the August 2001 Site of the Day from Techlearning.com. This past year, the @rt room was reviewed in the 2001 Consumers Guide of Best Web Sites for Kids and was selected as one of Homeschool.com's Top 100 Web Sites for 2002. In addition, selected curriculum materials from the @rt room have been translated into Greek for inclusion in NetKids.gr's website for families, teens and kids. (See our awards page.)
