Art History Resources on the Web
This site consists of a huge collection of links to online art history resources on the Web. Art Junction is a new website dedicated to exploring ways of using the Internet to promote various forms of collaborative learning in and between art classrooms around the globe. Free registration is required to take full advantage of the site and its discussion board. This site provides easy online access to the combined art collections, libraries, and archives of the Walker Art Center and The Minneapolis Institute of Arts as well as to an abundance of educational resources. Check out the Art Collector that can be used by teachers or students to create personal sets of images with accompanying text from the ArtsConnectEd database. This site offers a wealth of ideas on assistive technology and strategies to make art more accessible. Improving Student Performance through the Arts A principal describes how a a comprehensive arts education program has helped raise test scores across the board at a Texas elementary school. A searchable database of links to various art resources on the Web. This site offers support for media education in the home, school and community and provides a wealth of information and "food for thought" on our fast-evolving media culture. National Arts Education Public Awareness Campaign This site is sponsored by Americans for the Arts and includes an abundance of arts advocacy information.
