ASB Meetings open to the Public
The ASB committee will meet for the Library Annex UF-366 project on November 29th,2012, 8:00am-10:00am, in the Dean's Conference Room in Fine Arts Building A.

The ASB committee will meet for the Reitz Union Expansion and Renovation Project UF-368 on December 12th, 2012, 9:00am-noon, in the Dean's Conference Room in Fine Arts Building A.

 
Call to Artists: Reitz Union Expansion and Renovation: UF-368

 

  The University of Florida Art in State Buildings Committee seeks to bring an artist on board prior to the design of the architecture is completed. The artwork should highlight the current mission and past history of the Reitz Union and serve as a focal point and unifying element of the new space. This proposed work should bridge the history of the Union with its current and future identity. $100,000 (All Inclusive). Please email pubart@ufl.edu for full call.

Owen Mundy and Joelle Dietrich completed the Art in State Buildings project in Weimer Hall. Their work consists of vinyl murals depicting the new architecture, which is attached to the walls.

Carl Reed, a sculptor from Colorado College, recreated his sculpture "Union Markings," in the circle drive near the Reitz Union.
