Agriculture is but a taming of the many forces of nature, harnessing them to productivity while maintaining their essential wilderness and vigor. Agriculture is a melding of natural resources with an enhanced quality of life, made possible through hard work and scientific advances. My paintings are anchored in natural resources: land, forest, wild areas and cultivated acres. I believe that while we funnel our resources to productivity, we retain our natural essence through a kinship with the land and its many inhabitants. I hope through my artwork to communicate this essential link between the wild and the cultivated: our origins and our prosperity.
