Scott Wilson is a Gerhard Baier Trumpet Artist, founder of the on-line Jazz Education Store and Assistant Professor in Jazz at the University of Florida.  Wilson has diverse international performance credits and has served as Musical Director for Universal Studios Japan, consultant for Limelite Productions in Singapore, staff composer for Grand Link World in Qingdao, China, consultant for Walt Disney’s “Magic Music Days” jazz workshops and has been a featured jazz trumpet soloist for Tokyo Disney Sea and Universal Studios Japan.  Wilson served as an Artistic Director for The Music School in Utah (Downbeat winners in 2006 & 2007).   He now serves as Artistic Director for LakeShore Producers, consultant for Foxy Cat Web Designs, and serves as a jazz theory consultant for the Jazz Education Network (JEN).

Scott Wilson received a Master Degree in Jazz Studies and a Master Degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas.  At the University of North Texas he served as Adjunct Faculty, taught courses in jazz theory and performed in the One O'Clock Lab Band.  Wilson was selected as a Teaching Fellow in Arranging and scored several original big band compositions for the One O’clock Lab Band albums (Lab 95,96,97).

Before arriving at the University of Florida, Wilson served as Director of Jazz Studies at Snow College in Utah where they now annually host the Juilliard Jazz Workshops.  Wilson has authored several nationally recognized jazz textbooks, jazz workbooks, and jazz flash.   His holistic materials have been used by the International Association for Jazz Education Teaching Training Institutes, the Juilliard Jazz Workshops, Jam Camp, Snow College Jazz Summit, and the University of Florida. 

Scott Wilson has performed and worked with numerous jazz artists including Benny Green, Wayne Bergeron, Roger Ingram, Conrad Herwig, Wycliffe Gordon, Shelly Berg, Steve Smith, Denis DeBlasio, Greg Bissonette, Brian Bromberg, John Beasley, Eric Miyashiro, Claudio Roditi, Ed Calle, Kirk Whalum, Carl Allen, Peter Erskine, Eric Marienthal, Bobby Shew, Slide Hampton, Sam Rivers, Terrell Stafford, Dick Oats, Brandon Fields, Lew Soloff, Ron Blake, Ben Wolfe, Terreon Gully, Geoffrey Keezer, Jeremy Pelt, John Pizzarelli, Chris Slade, Ed Shaughnessy, Robby Ameen, Alex Acuna, Dave Loeb, Tom Warrington, Steve Marcus, Jeff Campbell, Andy Fusco, Baron Browne, Mark Soskin, Jeff Coffin, Chris Buono, Rashawn Ross, Dan Haerle, Neil Slater, Corey Christiansen, Ted Rosenthal, Marvin Stamm, and Fred Hamilton.
