Jon Savant
Jon Savant is a 3rd year senior in his 4th semester in the carillon studio. While new to playing the carillon, playing music is not. In fourth grade he began playing the piano, adding violin and guitar over the next year. Over the next decade, Jon added many more instruments to his repertoire including drums, various percussion, bass, viola, mandolin, marimba, theremin, etc. He has played in a variety of musical ensembles, ranging from orchestra quartets to reggae bands. Jon plans to keep learning carillon and hopes to continue his studies after he graduates.
