Composition Competition The International String Orchestra Festival is announcing a competition for young composers born after 1970, to write a 5 to 7 minute Solo work for Violin, Viola or Cello. The winning composition will be performed during the festival and awarded ¡Ì500. Composers are invited to send their compositions including a detailed curriculum vitae, contact information, a live recording if existing (no midis please) and a processing fee of ¡Ì20 (Twenty English Sterling) in international cheques or Bank Draft Payable to: International String Orchestra Festival. An appointed jury of international musicians will select the winning composition and results will be published by the 31st October 2006.
