Research Interests:

Painting Installations Site-specific Public art

Research Summary:

I create public art projects that are site, and what I refer to as “user –specific.” These artworks speak directly to a specific visual and conceptual vocabulary relating to the users of the facility. The projects involve the integration analogue and digital technology with hand crafted and commercially fabricated production processes. In my personal museum and gallery work, I have been involved with the intersection of technology and vision with artistic production. I have created the term “photocentric” to describe my carefully crafted airbrushed paintings. I am interested in the way we "see" and the manner in which contemporary culture consumes images.
