Thank you for considering the opportunity of creating an endowment. In creating an endowment you have the ability to make a significant impact and positively influence the College of Fine Arts’ School of Music. As endowment funds are typically named, they can serve as an ever-lasting honor to an individual, or an on-going testament to an organization’s value. The funds invested in an endowment generate a predictable, growing stream of income in perpetuity. Endowments are most often created to fund scholarships, graduate fellowships, or professorships; all of which are top priorities at the School of Music.

- A minimum gift of $2,000 is required to create a non-endowed scholarship.
- Gifts of $100,000 or above are eligible for a matching gift of 50%-100% from the State of Florida. The specific percentage depends on the size of the gift.
- Gifts may be fulfilled through pledge payments spanning up to five years.
- Payments can take the form of cash, securities, real estate, bequests, or other forms of payment.
- Many employers offer matching gift programs, which could enable you to create an endowed fund with reduced out-of-pocket expense.
Gifts of at least $2,000 are recognized in the University of Florida’s President Council. In addition to being listed in the University of Florida’s published Honor Rolls, each year you would be invited to a Gala to celebrate and recognize the contribution you have made. The President's Council Gala is just one way in which the University has the privilege of saying 'thank you' for your confidence in the School of Music and the University of Florida.
