The University is home to a number of different galleries, each with their own focus and purpose. Come visit each space.

 

University Gallery

The University Gallery is an essential component of the teaching, research and service mission of the School of Art and Art History. Located on the east end of the Fine Arts Campus Complex, the University Gallery's six exhibitions per year bring current ideas in contemporary art to our students and community. These exhibitions are designed to enhance and challenge the bodies of knowledge in the various studio disciplines offered in our school.

University Gallery is located at the intersection of SW 13th Street and SW 4th Avenue in Building B of the Fine Arts complex.

Parking is available in reserved spaces behind Fine Arts Building "C." Visitor permits are issued to gallery visitors at the University Gallery.

Focus Gallery

The Focus Gallery is an 850 square foot space that presents curated exhibitions of student and invited artists' work. Shows change monthly. The gallery is located in the lobby of the School's administrative offices. It offers cutting edge artwork and provides opportunities for curatorial experience to faculty members and graduate students in the museum studies graduate program. This is a fun and vibrant venue.

The Focus Gallery is located in the main lobby of Fine Arts Building C, on the University of Florida campus. The Fine Arts complex is located on the east side of campus.

Guest parking permits, and maps for directions can be obtained from the university campus main entrance.

 

Grinter Gallery

The Grinter Gallery of International Art is a unique location on the campus of the University of Florida. Established by an endowment from Linton and Constance Grinter, the first floor of the Grinter Hall is the venue for exhibitions of art created by international students and area artists, as well as a location for traveling exhibits of internationally based art. Exhibitions are educational , and are installed for several months at a time. A museum studies graduate student serves as curator for this space. Input from many multi-cultural campus organizations guides the planning for Grinter Gallery.

Grinter Gallery is located on the first floor of Grinter Hall, on the east side of campus, just east of the University Auditorium.
