The Department of Anthropology is especially strong in Latin American studies, African studies, Southeastern archaeology, applied anthropology, forensic anthropology, and cultural anthropology and archeology. In addition to our own faculty, the archaeologists at the Florida Museum of Natural History supervise students and teach courses. Courses present a solid grounding in theory, in qualitative and quantitative methods, and in applied anthropology.
