ASSISTANTSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

Educational expenses and financial aid are discussed in "Gator Aid" , published by the Office of Student Financial Affairs. Loans and Work-Study Financial Aid assistance are available to students who have demonstrated financial need.

Graduate assistantships are a primary source of financial aid in the School of Art and Art History. Assistantships are salaried positions that require a time commitment of 13.5 hours per week. Duties include museum and gallery assistance, office and administration assistance, and research. Students holding these quarter-time graduate assistantships are eligible for tuition waivers up to the minimum number of credits required for full-time enrollment (usually 9 credits). Tuition waivers for each semester will be granted to qualifying graduate assistants provided they maintain a 3.0 GPA and are employed on or before the 1st day of classes through the end of final exams. Tuition waivers do not cover fees associated with registration.
