ADMISSIONS - UNDERGRADUATE

Admissions is selective, but may be gained at the freshmen, sophomore or junior level. Students may be admitted to the College of Fine Arts their first term in residence. An audition is required for acceptance as an undergraduate music major.

2008-2009 Audition Dates

January 24, 2009
January 31, 2009

All Freshmen Music Major and Minor Applicants
Scholarship Audition

February 21, 2009
Transfer Students
(Freshmen may audition but will not be eligible for scholarship consideration)

University of Florida preferred application period is July 1 through November 1, 2008.

* Students who are also interested in participating in Gator Marching Band, please email gatorband@arts.ufl.edu 

Choose the type of undergraduate admission you desire:

~ Freshmen
~ Lower Division Transfer (At the time of my matriculation I will transfer less than 60 credits)
~ Upper Division Transfer - Provisional  (I will have an AA or at least 60 hours at the time of my matriculation. 
  I DO NOT have the Professional Requirements listed below.)
~ Upper Division Transfer - Professional (I will have an AA or at least 60 hours at the time of my matriculation. 
  I DO have the Professional Requirements listed below.)  
~ Minor

~ Graduate

To be considered for admission at the Professional Level (transfer students only) you must have:

• Four semesters of theory                      
• Four semesters of studio
• Four semesters of piano
• Four semesters of ensemble
• One semester of MUL 2110 (Musical Styles)
• Four semesters of Recital Attendance
