Double Reed Day Events
The University of Florida, School of Music will be hosting its Double Reed Day on Saturday, November 1, 2008.
The day will start at 8:30 A.M. and go until 8:00 P.M.
Guest Artists:
Leonard Hindell, Associate Professor of Bassoon at the City University
of New York and at Mannes College The New School of Music.
Dr. Dale Clark, Instructor of Bassoon at Arkansas State University.
Dr. Clark's reed making seminars have been presented at International Double Reed Society Converences and his
articles about reed making have been published in the Double Reed.
Ms. Shannon Lowe, DMA Student at Stony Brook, studying under Dr. Morelli, and
former student of Bassoon Studio at UF, will give a master class.
Dr. Arnold Irchai, faculty member of UF and Principal Bassoon of the
National Philharmonic, will also give a master class.
Michel Dicker, Professor of Bassoon at Illinois State University; Principal Bassoon
Peoria Sumphony Orchestra; Fox Representative.
Double Reed day will conclude with a recital.
