CHORAL AUDITIONS

In order to be considered for membership in the University Choir and/or Chamber Singers, each singer must audition for Dr. Will Kesling, Director of Choral Activities. The audition will consist of vocalizing to demonstrate range, timbre, size, and quality of the voice, as well as exercises in pitch memory/recall and sight-singing. A prepared piece is required, but a simple hymn or folk song is acceptable.

Choral Placement Auditions are held during the few days before the fall semester begins. Complete details and an audition sign-up sheet will be posted on the Choral Activities Bulletin Board outside of Room 120 in the Music Building. Please direct questions to Brendan Luce, graduate choral assistant, at lucb0003@ufl.edu or contact the Choral Activities Office at (352) 392-0223 x242.

Choral Placement Auditions will be held:
Sunday, August 24, 2-7 p.m.
Monday, August 25, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Tuesday, August 26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Students may sign-up for audition times on the Chorus Information Board in the Music Building

Note: A Choral Placement Audition is not required for participation in the Women's Chorale or the Men's Glee Club. Simply register for those classes and attend.
