Auditions
Auditions for the University of Florida Clarinet Studio are held annually on designated Saturdays during the months of October through February. 

2007-2008 Audition Dates
October 27, 2007

All Freshmen Music Major and Minor Applicants Scholarship Audition

November 10, 2007
All Freshmen Music Major and Minor Applicants Scholarship Audition

February 2, 2008
Transfer Students
(Freshmen may audition but will not be eligible for scholarship consideration)

UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA APPLICATION DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 1, 2007

The audition requirements for the Clarinet Studio are as follows:
1)  All major scales
2)  Chromatic scale
3)  Two contrasting solos/etudes (FBA Level V or higher)
4)  Sightreading

Auditions are arranged through the Office of Music Admissions. A potential student must also apply to the University of Florida through the UF Office of Admissions.

Participation in one of the scheduled audition days is highly recommended, but individual auditions can also be arranged in the event of unusual circumstances. In addition, students who cannot make it to campus in person may submit a CD or a DVD.

Scholarships
All students accepted into the Clarinet Studio are eligible for scholarships. Music Scholarships are primarily, but not necessarily, restricted to music majors.  Scholarships are awarded on the basis of performance ability and academic excellence. They  are awarded on a yearly renewable basis to incoming freshman and transfer students. There are several other types of scholarships available including:
1)  Out-of-State Tuition Waivers - Available to incoming freshmen or transfer students who reside outside of the State of Florida.
2) Amott Clarinet Scholarship - Awarded annually to the most outstanding student in the Clarinet Studio.
2)  Band Scholarships - These awards are based on the student’s musical performance.
