An academic portfolio is required for admission review for composition, ethnomusicology, history & literature and music education programs, and may include any combination of the following:

• academic papers (midterm, final, honor's paper, thesis)
• published articles
• paper presented at a conference
• written exams 
• compositions (with recordings, if possible)
• music theory analysis paper
• lesson plans and/or sample tests
• related employment experience
• related travel
• other professional experience (festivals, performances, workshops)
