University of Florida Ensemble Opportunities
Wind Symphony – Group based on the traditional wind ensemble. Conductor: Dr. David Waybright
Symphonic Band – A larger ensemble consisting mostly of music majors. Conductor: Mr. Jay Watkins.

Jazz Band – Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester. Conductor/Coordinator: Mr. Scott Wilson.
Orchestra – Occasionally uses saxophones. Conductor: Dr. Raymond Chobaz.
New Music Ensemble – One concert per semester. Often uses saxophones or saxophone ensembles. Directors: Dr. Jonathan Helton, Dr. Paul Richards.
World Music Ensemble – Two concerts per semester. Often uses saxophone. Directors: Dr. Larry Crook. Dr. Welson Tremura.
Saxophone Quartets – Weekly coachings, regular rehearsal. One to three performances per semester. Performance opportunities both on and off campus.
Saxophone Ensemble – Weekly rehearsal. One to two performances per semester.
Musical Theater Orchestra – Occasional need for a live ensemble to accompany musical theater productions. Doubling is required. This is a paying gig.
