UF's School of Art and Art History hosts Art Bash 2009 Art Bash, the annual celebration of art at the University of Florida, takes place 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13. This open-house event at the College of Fine Arts’ School of Art and Art History showcases the breadth of art disciplines pursued here. Art Bash provides members of the campus and the Gainesville community the opportunity to view an enchanting array of projects by UF art students ranging from intimate drawings and vibrant graphic designs to bold ceramics sculptures and experimental photographs. In 2008, more than 600 community members, students, faculty, and staff attended Art Bash and participated in its demonstrations, exhibitions and interactive projects in painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, art education, art history, digital media, graphic design, drawing and more.
Events, demonstrations, entertainment and art displays will be ongoing between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. – indoors and outside – throughout the School of Art and Art History Fine Arts Complex, located on Southwest 13th Street between Little Hall and Broward Dining.
This fun free event encourages discussion between students and the community as well as introduces potential students to the school's facilities and many programs.
