UFIPF 2014: Larissa Dedova, University of Maryland

Rising Artist Division: The Rising Artist Divsion is open to any progressing pianist, age 13 or older. Rising Artists will receive three private lessons from UFIPF faculty. Additionally, Rising Artists will receive classes in music theory from UF faculty. Rising Artists will receive full access to Artist lessons, masterclasses and concerts. As part of the UFIPF closing events on June 20, all Rising Artists will perform in recital.

Rising Artist enrollment is limited. The application deadline is April 20, but applications will be considered as they are received. Participants will be notifed upon acceptance and given instructions for completing their registration.

Pre-College Solo Piano Competition: First Prize: $500; Honorable Mention (two) $250
The pre-college solo piano competition is open to students, ages 15-18, regardless of UFIPF division. Students not participating in UFIPF are also welcome to apply to the competition. Previous First-Place winners are not eligible to apply.

Submit online application, recording and preformance resume by April 20.

Repertoire shall include at least two contrasting works, one of which being a fast movement of Beethoven, Haydn or Mozart. Repertoire for the preliminary recording and final performance shall be the same.

Finalists, selected by a screening committee, will be announced no later than May 1, 2015. Finalists will perform for UFIPF faculty judges at the University of Florida School of Music, June 20, 2015. 
   
Winners will perform Saturday afternoon, June 20.
