葆兹·沙龙

 

钢琴家葆兹·沙龙是佛罗里达大学音乐学院的钢琴教授,钢琴系系主任。

以色列出生的沙龙13岁时移居比利时的布鲁塞尔,从师于著名的莫扎特和肖邦的诠释者斯戴芬阿斯肯内斯及钢琴大师施那贝儿的助手理纳德·舒勒。

作为斯坦维艺术家,沙龙是一位在国际上广受欢迎的教育家和演奏家。他高超的技能和杰出的音乐天赋备受称赞。

从1986年到1991年,沙龙在杜克大学任教。1995年,他创了年度布拉格国际钢琴大师班,被看作世界上主要的钢琴节之一,并一直担当艺术指。

从2002 年到2007年, 沙龙主持“国际钢琴家证书“再欧洲和美国与Paris-Alfred Cortot 音乐学院有着广泛的合作 。该项目分别在布鲁塞尔,巴黎和美国举。 2007年秋,沙龙成为沈音乐学院的客座教授。

他的演出频繁,台北国家音乐厅,英国科英斯顿大学的斯坦维名人系列,慕尼黑盖斯格演奏厅,里约热内卢国际李斯特艺术节和布拉格的国家展览馆。他也曾和以色列交响乐团共同演出,美国“斯坦维时光”节目和国家无线广播也都播放过他的作品。在2004年,沙龙与俄罗斯交响乐团在俄罗斯,举办了14 场音乐会。同年,他也在纽约的斯坦维大厅举行个人音乐会。从那时起,他每年都任教于“莫斯科钢琴艺术节”。2007年,他先后在布拉格,北京,广州和香港演出。

Boaz Sharon 

International recording artist Boaz Sharon is a professor of piano and head of the Piano Area at the University of Florida School of Music in Gainesville, Florida. 

The Israeli-born Sharon moved to Brussels, Belgium at age 13 to study with renowned Mozart and Chopin interpreter Stefan Askenase for five years. He later continued his studies with acclaimed American concert pianist Leonard Shure.  

A Steinway artist, Sharon is now himself a sought-after pedagogist who has performed and taught internationally and is praised for his superb technique and musicianship.

Sharon was artist in residence at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina prior to joining the University of Florida faculty in 1996. That same year he launched the annual Prague International Piano Masterclasses, considered to be among the world’s premiere piano festivals, and has served as its artistic director since its inception. 

From 2002 to 2007, Sharon was a member of the artist faculty for the International Certificate for Piano Artists program, affiliated with the École Normale de Musique de Paris-Alfred Cortot and held in Brussels, Paris and Gainesville, Florida. He continues to serve as artistic director of the annual Steinway Festival at the University of Florida School of Music, which has featured the teaching and performance talents of Jerome Lowenthal, Boris Berman and Thomas Mastroianni, among others.

Sharon has garnered many honors throughout his career, including first prize at Spain’s Jaen International Piano Competition. In July 2006, he was named an honorary fellow by Prague’s Charles University, one of the oldest universities in Europe. In 1998, the Czech government presented him with the Jubilee Medal for outstanding contributions in the piano field to Charles University upon the university’s 650th anniversary celebration. He was also awarded the 2005 Distinguished International Educator award from the University of Florida. He has served on the jury of the Firkusny International Piano Competition.

He maintains an active performance schedule and has performed at the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., at the National Recital Hall in Taipei, as part of the Steinway Celebrity Series at Britain’s Kingston University, at the Gasteig Recital Hall in Munich, at the International Liszt Festival in Rio de Janeiro and at Prague’s National Museum. He also has been featured with the Israeli Symphony Orchestra and has been heard on the “Steinway Hour” radio program and on National Public Radio. In 2004, Sharon presented 14 recitals and concerts with orchestras from Russia’s Far East, Siberia, the Ural Mountains, European Russia and Moscow. During that year he also appeared at Steinway Hall in New York City. Each year since he has returned to Moscow to participate in a piano festival at the Composers House of Creativity. In 2007, he is scheduled to perform in Prague, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Sharon’s artistry has been captured on such prestigious recording labels as Nonesuch (Elektra/Warner Bros), Hyperion (London) and Arcobaleno (Brussels). Newsweek magazine listed Sharon’s recording of Charles Koechlin’s “Danses pour Ginger Rogers” among the best 10 recordings of the year. His concerts and records have been reviewed in The New York Times (“Beautifully recorded and played…,)” The Washington Post (“Superb technique…musicianly pianist…,” and in the London Daily Telegraph (“In a class of his own…”).
