Design Assistantship
Students of Theatrical Design can choose to concentrate in any one of the following areas: Lighting Design, Set Design, Costume Design or Costume Technology. The Master of Fine Art program follows a three-year/60 credit curriculum.Graduate assistants may have one or more of following assignments:
· Teach undergraduate level courses in specialized design areas;
· Design department theatrical and dance productions (nine per academic year);
· Assist in the light lab, scene shop or costume shop workroom;
· Assist faculty designers.
Qualifications:
· an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution;
· a strong background in theatre production and an eagerness to share your abilities;
· excellent communication and organizational skills;
· an outstanding academic record/outstanding professional recommendations.
Stipend:
Graduate Assistants receive an annual stipend of up to $8400, as well as a tuition waiver of $2242 for Florida residents and $8736 for out-of-state students (based on 18 hours of registration per year).
