TIM ALTMEYER is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Florida where he teaches acting in the MFA, BFA and BA programs. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Professor Altmeyer received an MFA in Dramatic Art, with an emphasis in contemporary acting technique. He has worked extensively as an actor, counting Pulitzer Prize winners (Edward Albee, Paula Vogel and Horton Foote), Academy Award winners (Al Pacino, Marisa Tomei and Estelle Parsons) and Emmy Award winners (Dianne Wiest and Valerie Harper) among his colleagues. His credits include Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, numerous regional theatres, film, television, national commercials and print work. He is a proud member of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild and the Actors Studio.
As a teacher and mentor, Professor Altmeyer has worked previously with students at the University of Florida, the Hartt School, Webster University, and the University of North Carolina.
