November 29, 2011 Andrew Babcock presented his work Anagoge at Ball State University's EM|Two concert in Muncie, Indiana.
November 18-19, 2011 Andrew Babcock and Adam Scott Neal presented their works Imbroglio and Tether at the FEASt Festival at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center in Miami, FL.
November 17-19, 2011 Andrew Babcock (1st PRIZE) and Chester Udell (finalist) participated in the Sound in Space competition sponsored by the Goethe Institut, French Consulate Cultural Services, Harvard University, and Northeastern University. The two composers performed their works Anagoge and Steel Golem at the Fenway Center, Boston using Harvard University's Hydra Speaker-Orchestra.

April 2010: PhD student Chester Udell was awarded the First Prize for the ASCAP/SEAMUS Student Commission Competition for his composition Brass Alchemy at the SEAMUS National Conference. The work will appear on the SEAMUS 2010 CD as well as trombonist Mark Hetzler's upcoming CD on Summit Records.
April, 2010: UF Composition students Travis Garrison, Chester Udell, Thomas Royal, and Braxton Sherouse traveled to St. Cloud, Minnesota in order to present recent compositions at the 2010 SEAMUS National Conference.

Unbalanced Connection #45 "Spin"
March 2010: UF Composition students Travis Garrison, Seung-Hye Kim, Thomas Royal, Braxton Sherouse, Chester Udell, and Jorge Variego, along with UF Composition faculty member Dr. James Sain, traveled to New York City in order to present recent compositions at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival.
February 2010: SCI sponsored a guest artist visit by Piotr Szewczyk, composer and violinist with the Jacksonville Symphony. He performed his Violin Futura 2008/2009 concerts and presented a composition/performance master class to UF students, including reading several student works.
February 25-28, 2010: Through the support of the UF student chapter of the Society of Composers, Inc., and the Sonic Computing Organization, noted composer Larry Polansky was invited to campus for a two-day residency. During his stay, Mr. Polansky gave a composition masterclass and a public lecture, and participated in a student-organized concert of his compositions.
