What is an itemized budget?
Often areas have itemized budgets with spending broken down into areas (shipping, office supplies, postage, memberships). If you HAVE an itemized budget for your funding, it has essentially already been PRE-approved so further approval for actually using it is not needed. If you are unsure if your planned expenses are on an itemized budget, please email Victoria Masters at vmasters@arts.ufl.edu and she will check to see if there is an approved, itemized budget on file for you.
Itemized budgets can be as simple as allocating your Scholarship Enhancement funding to a couple of items so there may be one on file completed by a school director of which you are unaware.
When purchases are requested (or made with a p-card) that deviate from the itemized budget, some adjustment to the items planned for will have to be made to avoid a lack of funding.
