Research Interests:

Sculpture, furniture, stone walls, monuments

Research Summary:

The subject matter of my research is the intersection of geological processes and material culture, geological time and human time. These investigations are manifested primarily in large sculptures consisting of antique furniture embedded in walls of stone, stone structures with cast iron elements, steel furniture forms filled with river rocks, and miniatures made of various stacked materials in combination with miniature furniture that pay homage to the history of modernist sculpture. Peripheral products of the research include photographs, drawings, collages, and videos .
