Fourth International Symposium on Assessment in Music Education

The music education faculties of the University of Florida School of Music and the National Taiwan Normal University will host Music Assessment and Global Diversity: Practice, Measurement, and Policy, the Fourth International Symposium on Assessment in Music Education. Music education professionals from around the world will be brought together to share the latest research, thought, and practice in music education assessment. Education officials from across the world are invited. It will be held from April 10–13, 2013, on the campus of the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan.

The symposium will focus on practice, measurement, and policy as three broad areas of interest to music educators across the world. Discussions will occur on topics of successful practices in measuring student achievement, how music educators are measuring student achievement, and how law and policy have impacted music assessment in the world’s diverse educational systems.
