Apply to Participate in UF’s International Piano Festival by April 20

The University of Florida International Piano Festival (UFIPF) gathers distinguished college and pre-college pianists for lessons and masterclasses from some of the best teachers from across North America and China. The deadline to apply to be a part of this outstanding opportunity is April 20, 2014.

Applications are accepted for both the College Division and the Pre-College Division. The College Division is open to any college or college graduate pianist. There is no upper age limit, but enrollment is limited. College division participants will be assembled into small, rotating study groups, giving each student the opportunity to receive a lesson or masterclass from each member of the faculty. In addition to morning lessons, college division participants will perform in public masterclasses and recitals every afternoon and evening.

Pre-College Division applicants must be between the ages of 13-18. Pre-college participants will receive three private lessons from UFIPF faculty, classes in music theory from UF Music Theory Faculty and full access to College Division lessons, masterclasses and concerts. Enrollment is limited.

UFIPF 2014, which will be held from June 14 though 21 at UF’s School of Music, will provide room and board on campus to all participants. Participants will experience first-rate instruments as well as excellent practice and performance spaces at the beautiful UF campus.
