Mutlu G. Çitim-Kepic, Associate in Advising, is the Director of Music Admissions and Undergraduate Advisor for the School of Music. She has served as Coordinator of Admissions and Registration at the Office of the University Registrar (1997-2000) prior to her arrival at the School of Music. Çitim-Kepic received her B.A. (1996) in International Human Relations and M.Ed. (1999) in Educational Administration from the University of Florida. Born and raised in Turkey, she has been living in the United States since 1990.
Ms. Çitim-Kepic was selected for one of the 2002 Outstanding Publication Certificate of Merit Awards for the School of Music Undergraduate Handbook by the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). She was also the Academic Advisor of the Year for the College of Fine Arts in 2002-03. She currently chairs the "Advising Fine Arts Students", one of the interest groups of NACADA. She has received an "Outstanding Advisor Certificate of Merit"- NACADA Southeast Region 4 in 2007.
In 2003, Ms. Çitim-Kepic created the first study abroad program designed specifically for music students in Salzburg, Austria. The program runs through Summer A semester every year for six weeks. Participants take private lessons and study music history and stay in Austrian homes.
