The Fine Arts Scholarship Enhancement Fund

The Fine Arts Scholarship Enhancement Fund
About the Fund

The Fine Arts Scholarship Enhancement Fund is designed to stimulate new or existing creative/research activity in the fine arts at the University of Florida. Because this Fund was established to seed worthy initiatives, efforts to seek additional (especially outside) sources of funding will be considered in the evaluation of proposals. Categories of creative/research endeavors appropriate for an award include the following:

- New faculty projects
- Initiation of a new project
- Development or completion of an ongoing project
- Presentation of a creative project

The Fund is not restricted to the above categories and other types of projects may also be considered. Each proposal should identify the special circumstances justifying its consideration as high priority and should give evidence of high quality. Budget justification will be an important part of the proposal's evaluation. Inflated budgets will downgrade the evaluation. The average award is expected to be approximately $5,000 or less. The Fund is expected to support approximately 30 awards for creative/research activity during the period January 2010 – December 2010.
