Workshop

The College of Fine Arts offers a Tenure & Promotion Workshop for eligible and interested faculty each April. The College T&P Review Committee members are also encouraged to attend.

The purpose of the Tenure and Promotion Workshop is to provide structured and constructive information to assist candidates to meet the College and University requirements for tenure and promotion.

The workshop is designed to demonstrate how to accurately complete a T&P packet, including how to answer various subjects as a fine arts faculty; to provide a tentative timeframe for the entire process; to answer a variety of frequently asked questions; and provide helpful tips. This workshop has proven to be a valuable tool for the faculty member as well as College T&P Review Committee members.

The 2011-2012 workshop has been scheduled for April 22, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the Dean’s Conference Room. The workshop will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Announcements will be sent prior to that date to remind everyone of the event.

The University of Florida also offers tenure & promotion workshops for faculty and staff which can be useful. Faculty are notified by Academic Affairs of available workshops, held generally late August or early September. Staff may also sign up through the Office of Human Resource Services.
