Study Abroad

Music is an ideal field in which to persue post-graduate study abroad. There are many excellent saxophone teachers in the world, and there are a number of scholarships that can make overseas study a reality for many students.

A working knowledge of a foreign language is often (but not always) necessary to obtain funding for study in a country in which English is not a primary language.

If inerested, talk to Dr. Helton about possible teachers and programs of study.

For more information on general study abroad and UF-sponsored programs you can contact the UF International Center.

NEW for saxophonists! Intensive course for saxophonists at the University of Florida Paris Research Center during spring break: The Saxophone: Then and Now. See the dedicated web page for more information: http://www.arts.ufl.edu/music/saxophone/paris.html .
